Donkey Kong & Pokemon Red/Green Have Been Inducted Into The World Video Game Hall Of Fame May 5th 2017, 00:39, by ssf1991 The World Video Game Hall of Fame‘s class of 2017 has been announced today, and for the third year in a row, Nintendo titles will be among the inductees. The 1981 arcade hit Donkey Kong and 1996 releases of Pokemon Red and Green on Game Boy were among this year’s inductees. It joins Nintendo titles such as Super Mario Bros and The Legend Of Zelda, which were inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Wii Sports, which was nominated this year, did not make it. Donkey Kong and Pokemon Red/Green were not alone, however. Street Fighter II and Halo: Combat Evolved were also inducted this year.
